Omar Abou-Ezzeddine, Regional Director of Tensor Auto Middle East and Africa, said that the Tensor Robocar is the world’s first Level 4 autonomous personal vehicle, marking a significant milestone in the field of smart cars and future vehicles. “The car offers users the experience of owning a driverless vehicle, ensuring superior safety, maximum privacy and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities,” he said.

According to Mr. Abou-Ezzeddine, Tensor Robocar is the first car developed in Silicon Valley and launched in the UAE. With Level 4 autonomy, the car does not need a driver or a license at all - users can just command the car to take their children to school or take them to work, while the car drives, parks and charges itself at home.

Unlike traditional cars that are “upgraded” with smart technology, Tensor Robocar is designed from the ground up to be an autonomous vehicle, achieving the optimal balance between performance and technology, making it one of the most advanced AI-based vehicles in the world. The car is equipped with 5 Lidar sensors arranged around the body - including the top, front and rear - along with more than 100 sensors and cameras to identify the surrounding environment with high accuracy. Thanks to this technology, the car can determine distance, speed and surrounding objects, allowing it to move safely in parking lots and urban areas without human intervention.

Mr. Abou-Ezzeddine said the car's data processing capacity is superior, with 8,000 computing units, four times more than a conventional smart car, helping to analyze and make decisions in real time. He emphasized: "Tensor Robocar is not just a means of transportation but a fully integrated AI system that is capable of learning the user's behavior. Over time, the car will 'understand' the owner's habits, recognize their workplace, school or favorite store and automatically adapt to their lifestyle."

All data between the car and the user's phone is encrypted and absolutely secure, not shared with third parties. The car also integrates an intelligent voice control system, allowing users to give verbal commands to control the journey and functions of the car.
