Swimming in the sea during big waves, 2 young men drowned

(NLDO) – After nearly a day and night of searching, authorities and local people found the bodies of two young men who drowned while swimming in the sea.

At noon on February 2, My An Commune Police, Phu My District, Binh Dinh Province said that at about 9:30 a.m. the same day, authorities and local people found the body of THT (18 years old; residing in My Loc Commune, Phu My District) in the local sea.

Previously, at around 2:30 p.m. on February 1, 11 young men from several communes in Phu My district went to the beach area of ​​Xuan Thanh Nam village, My An commune to play and swim.

While bathing, Đ.NH (18 years old; residing in My Chau commune, Phu My district) and THT drowned and were swept away by the waves. Not long after, local people found Đ.NH's body. THT's body was swept away by the waves and was not found until the morning of February 2, about 1 km away from the beach.

According to local residents, the beach where the two young men drowned is usually crowded with people from all over. However, in recent days, there have been big waves in this area so no one was swimming, only the young men who came to swim when the accident happened.
