Suspended teaching job of teacher accused of beating and torturing many students

(NLDO) - A 5th grade teacher used electrical wire covers to hit students and gave them crumpled pieces of paper to put in their mouths if they wanted to talk.

On the evening of February 27th, a leader from the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak province, stated that they had just reported to the Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee regarding parents' complaints about a teacher beating and mistreating many students, which had caused a stir on social media.

According to the report, the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City received information on social media regarding the alleged mistreatment of several students by teachers at Ly Tu Trong Primary School.

After receiving the information, the City Department of Education and Training requested Ly Tu Trong Primary School to report on the incident.

According to the report from Ly Tu Trong Primary School, the parents' complaints that Ms. BTTX (homeroom teacher of class 5D) used damaged electrical wire casings to hit students, threatened students with a blackboard eraser, and made students prepare a crumpled piece of paper to put in their mouths when speaking are accurate. The remaining complaints from parents lack sufficient evidence to confirm them.

After verifying the incident, Ly Trong Primary School temporarily suspended Ms. X.'s teaching and homeroom duties in class 5D. Simultaneously, the school assigned another teacher to replace her as homeroom teacher and teach the class according to the school's plan until the end of the school year.

In addition, the school requested Ms. X to submit a written report of the incident and will continue to verify and determine the extent of the violation in order to handle it according to regulations.

The school leadership also met with the parents of the 5D students to discuss the incident. Following the incident, as of February 27th, teaching and learning activities at the school were proceeding normally.

As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, a social media account posted information and images alleging that a 5th-grade teacher had beaten and abused several students in her class. After being posted, this information attracted significant attention from the online community.
