The recent flood caused the walls of Mr. Luong Van Nghia's house (Phu Phong village) to be torn off, the tiled roof collapsed, and many belongings were swept away. Officers and soldiers of Regiment 888, the Provincial Military Command, are working with the family to urgently rebuild the roof, reinforce dangerous positions, and clean up the entire living area.

With his clothes covered in mud, soldier Nguyen Xuan Phat (Battalion 85, Regiment 888) worked through lunch, only having time to quickly eat a biscuit and drink a bottle of water. Phat shared: “Seeing the scene of people's houses being destroyed and falling into the situation of sleeping on the ground, everyone felt sorry for them. Therefore, without anyone telling anyone, we all actively raced against time to repair the house as quickly as possible, helping the family to stabilize their lives soon.”
Officers and soldiers of Regiment 584 (Provincial Military Command) are also actively cleaning and rearranging the furniture in the house of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy (86 years old, My Trung village). Mr. Quy is a 2/4 disabled veteran, who previously worked at Tuy Hoa 1 District Team, Phu Yen province (old). On changing days, the environment after the flood changed due to pollution, the wound from the bullet fragments still deep in his cheek recurred, although in pain, he still struggled with the soldiers to clean the house after the flood.
The family of Ms. Le Thi Anh (Phu Phong village) is in a very pitiful situation, the old mother was crushed by a collapsed wall and died. When officers and soldiers of Regiment 584 came to help clean up, she emotionally shared: "In the past few days, when someone in the family died, the grief was chaotic, the house was devastated, if the soldiers had not come to help, the family would not know how to manage."
Visiting families of policy beneficiaries and war invalids in the villages and hamlets of Hoa Thinh commune, Colonel Le Van Hung, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, shared: The Provincial Military Command is still working with units of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 5 to accompany the people; resolutely deploying work to help the people, doing their best to help people reduce their hardship and poverty. Only when the people are safe and sound, will the soldiers feel at ease.
