Outstanding results
Amidst a volatile and unpredictable global situation, numerous domestic economic challenges, and unusual natural disasters, Tan Hai has demonstrated the resilience of a coastal commune with rich potential.
With the determination of the entire political system and high consensus from the people, in 2025, the commune achieved and exceeded all 12 targets. This is the clearest evidence of the solidarity and aspiration for progress of the people here.
The leaders of Tan Hai commune shared that, looking back at the milestones since July 1, 2025, when the two-tiered local government model officially came into operation, the administrative apparatus of Tan Hai commune has undergone a strong qualitative change.
With 41 streamlined staff positions, the People's Committee of the commune promptly issued working regulations and assigned specific tasks to each leadership position and professional civil servant.
The establishment of the Commune Public Administrative Service Center is a groundbreaking step, making the process of handling applications for citizens more transparent, faster, and in accordance with the law; the results of the 2025 assessment of citizen and organizational satisfaction with the handling of local administrative procedures were rated excellent.
Despite being significantly impacted by organizational restructuring, social welfare policies, downsizing schemes, and payments under Decree 178 have been implemented promptly, creating a sense of security for dedicated officials and civil servants committed to the common goal.
On the economic front, Tan Hai commune has achieved impressive results. Seafood exploitation – the core strength of the locality – continues to be maintained and developed sustainably. In particular, the fight against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing has been implemented decisively, helping Tan Hai maintain its record of having no fishing vessels violating foreign waters.
One of the brightest highlights of the past year was the land clearance work for the DT 719B road project, specifically the Hon Lan - Tan Hai section. Through a sense of responsibility and perseverance in community outreach, the commune authorities successfully persuaded the last 18 households to agree to hand over their land.
The valuable land voluntarily given by the local people to the construction unit not only opened up a new road, but also created opportunities for trade and boosted the economic development of the coastal region.
Strengths of beach tourism
Coastal tourism, spiritual tourism, and ecotourism are developing sustainably, linked to promoting the value of the Thầy Thím Shrine and the Ngảnh Tam Tân - Dốc Ông Bằng area. The Thầy Thím Shrine Cultural and Tourism Festival is increasingly professionally organized, attracting a large number of visitors from all over.
Thanks to these efforts, total state budget revenue in the area reached a record high: over 216% of the allocated budget, nearly double the provincial target.
These abundant financial resources have been prioritized by the commune for reinvestment in essential infrastructure projects, social welfare spending, and caring for the lives of policy beneficiary families and poor households in the area, in line with the motto "economic development goes hand in hand with social justice".
Alongside economic development, the socio-cultural sectors have also achieved many encouraging results. The quality of education has remained stable, and public health care has been ensured with a health insurance coverage rate of over 95%.
Tan Hai is also a shining example in the implementation of Project 06 and digital transformation, bringing technology to serve the lives and production of the local people.
Sustainable poverty reduction efforts have been closely supervised, helping many families achieve stable lives. These efforts have contributed to improving the spiritual and material well-being of the people, creating a united and close-knit community.
Furthermore, national defense and security have always been maintained. The political security situation and social order in the area are basically stable. The unity between the Party's will and the people's aspirations has helped Tan Hai commune achieve many accomplishments this year.
For its outstanding achievements in the movement to protect national security in 2025, the locality was honored to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Ministry of Public Security.
Leveraging its existing advantages, Tan Hai is steadily progressing on its development journey, gradually building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.
