Tan Phong focuses on infrastructure development

Tan Phong commune has an area of 135 km², located in the Hoa Binh hydroelectric reservoir, with a population of 6,878 people, mainly Mong, Muong and Dao ethnic groups. The commune has steep terrain, fragmented and unsynchronized infrastructure, especially inter-village roads, which limits people's communication and trade, and the commune's economy is still difficult.

Immediately after implementing the two-level government model, the Commune People's Committee reviewed the infrastructure in the fields of transportation, education , health, culture, clean water and new rural construction. Up to now, the commune has completed 25 roads with a total length of 6,241m, with an investment capital of nearly 6 billion VND, of which the people contributed more than 2.1 billion, raising the proportion of concrete roads to over 60%. School facilities were invested with over 16 billion VND, basically meeting the needs of teaching and learning. At the same time, the commune also invested in a domestic water system, a medical station and 13/13 village cultural houses, contributing to improving people's lives.

Through review, the whole commune still has nearly 40% of intra-village and inter-village roads that have not been concreted; 3 village cultural houses have not met the demand; school equipment is still limited. Implementing the breakthrough in the 2025-2030 term on infrastructure investment, Tan Phong Commune People's Committee determined the focus is to effectively implement the New Rural Construction Program associated with completing infrastructure, integrating capital sources and mobilizing people to participate. At the same time, promote propaganda so that people actively contribute their efforts and money to build schools and cultural houses that meet new rural standards.

Promoting the achieved results, Tan Phong continues to synchronously deploy infrastructure investment solutions, creating breakthroughs in socio -economic development, associated with ensuring national defense and security.
