Speaking to Tri Thuc - Znews on May 28th, a representative of Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company (Phu Quoc Express) stated that from May 30th, in addition to the Phu Quoc Express 27 high-speed ferry currently in operation, the company will add the Phu Quoc Express 5 high-speed ferry with a capacity of 286 seats, running the Sa Ky - Ly Son ( Quang Ngai ) route.
In addition to meeting the needs of tourists during the peak summer season, the unit also aims to provide even better service in the coming period.

Following the launch of the Phu Quoc Express 5 ferry, the operating schedule for this route has increased to 4 trips each way daily. Tourists can book tickets online or purchase them directly at Sa Ky and Ben Dinh ports.
- The Sa Ky - Ly Son route departs at 7:00 AM, 8:30 AM, 10:00 AM, and 12:00 PM.
- The Ly Son - Sa Ky route departs at 8:30 AM, 10:45 AM, 12:15 PM, and 2:15 PM.
"The company continues to send more passenger ships to the special economic zone as committed to the local authorities. The number of passengers is trending strongly upward as ticket prices and ships have stabilized, with June being the peak month. During operation, we will adjust the number of trips based on the actual situation," this representative said.
Ticket prices have changed since the route was first reopened, now officially at 182,000 VND/adult, 128,000 VND/child, 147,000 VND/senior citizen, 112,000 VND/person with disabilities, 149,000 VND/local resident, and 102,000 VND/tour guide. VIP tickets are priced at 238,000 VND/person.

Earlier, in mid-April, after more than two years of suspension, the Phu Quoc Express high-speed ferry resumed operations on the Sa Ky - Ly Son route, reducing ticket prices ahead of the peak April 30th - May 1st holiday period, amidst rising ticket prices to the special economic zone.
With the addition of the Phu Quoc Express 5 vessel, the Sa Ky - Ly Son route now has 6 vessels in operation, increasing its passenger service capacity.
During this year's peak summer season, Ly Son Island was the domestic destination with the highest search growth rate among recent prominent destinations most searched for by Vietnamese tourists this summer, with searches conducted between January 1st and April 30th, applicable to stays between June 1st and July 31st, as announced by the online travel platform Agoda on May 19th.
