Strengthening communication on gender equality

The People's Committee of the city has just issued Plan No. 261/KH-UBND on the implementation of the communication program on gender equality for the period 2026 - 2030 in the city.

The city aims to promote the dissemination and updating of legal information and policies on gender equality; create conditions for women and men to participate in and enjoy equal benefits in all areas of social life; and strengthen the mobilization of social resources for communication work on gender equality.

The annual goal is for agencies, organizations, businesses, and citizens to receive at least two informational sessions on gender equality laws and policies. By 2030, 100% of departments, agencies, and People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones will have developed and implemented plans to participate in the annual Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence. 100% of community agreements and conventions will be adopted without gender discrimination.

The city will strengthen the provision of information, propaganda, and dissemination of laws and the results of gender equality work to Party committees, government agencies, organizations, businesses, and the people. Communication activities will be implemented in a way that is appropriate for each target group, especially during peak periods each year.

Furthermore, it is necessary to develop communication models and formats suitable for students, workers, people with disabilities, the elderly, poor households, and ethnic minorities. Simultaneously, it is crucial to innovate communication methods and media, promote the application of technology and digital platforms, and expand communication on social media to improve access to information, especially for young people and specific target groups.

The city also focuses on expanding gender equality education in families, schools, and communities; strengthening the organization of extracurricular activities and thematic sessions that integrate gender equality awareness content for children, students, and university students in various forms suitable for each age group.
