Speeding up construction of Ho Chi Minh road, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section

On September 24, 2025, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam chaired a working session with the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board and related departments, branches and localities to listen to reports on the situation of site clearance and relocation of technical infrastructure to serve the construction of the Ho Chi Minh Road investment project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section.

The Ho Chi Minh Road project passes through the territory of Binh Duong (old) and Tay Ninh provinces with a total length of 73.6 km, of which the section passing through Tay Ninh is 41.6 km long. Currently, the XL2 and XL3 packages passing through Tay Ninh have basically handed over the land, reaching about 74% of the contract value, striving to complete and put into use in December 2025.

Representatives of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board raised some difficulties and problems in implementing the Project.

However, according to the report of the Project Management Board, in Tay Ninh province there are still some locations that have not been cleared, mainly related to compensation, support and resettlement. In addition, some intersections with provincial and communal roads are still stuck and need to be resolved soon so as not to affect the project progress.

Delegates attending gave their opinions on how to overcome difficulties.

Directing the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Lam emphasized that this is a national key project, of special importance in promoting socio-economic development. Therefore, he requested relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of localities to urgently review and coordinate with the Project Management Board to completely resolve existing problems and difficulties in compensation, support and resettlement; ensure the handover of the entire site for the project as committed, and be determined to complete the project progress according to the set plan.
