These days, the project to build a square and flower garden in front of the Son La City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee headquarters is entering its accelerated phase. The investor and construction unit are focusing their efforts and are determined to complete the project on schedule, contributing to a new, modern and attractive appearance for the city.

The project to construct a square and flower garden in front of the Son La City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee headquarters was approved by the Chairman of the Son La City People's Committee, with the Son La City Investment and Construction Project Management Board as the investor. Construction is scheduled to begin in late March 2025. The project aims to complete the technical infrastructure system and beautify the urban area in front of the city's headquarters. The project covers an area of ​​0.42 hectares and includes the following components: construction of a square, grounds, landscaping combined with a parking lot, and other supporting facilities.

Mr. Do Van Tru, Chairman of the City People's Committee, said: "This is one of the key urban beautification projects of the city. The construction units have focused their manpower and equipment, accelerating the construction progress and ensuring the quality of the project. When the project officially comes into operation, it will create a meaningful space for community cultural activities."

Present at the construction site to oversee the project, Mr. Pham Minh Do, representative of the joint venture between Son La Urban Services Company and Tan Thanh Electricity Company, said: "Setting the goal of completing the project before July, the unit has mobilized maximum manpower, machinery and equipment, arranging work in three shifts, continuously from early morning to late night. Currently, we are focusing on completing the paving of the walkways and decorating the lighting system. To date, we have completed 90% of the plan, ensuring the quality and aesthetics of the project."

The construction of the square and flower garden, creating a modern public space, is something the nearby residents have been hoping for. Ms. Dieu Thi Yen, from Group 7, Chieng Le Ward, City, said: "Previously, this area was an office building, with cramped space and no place for children to play. Now that the square and flower garden project is nearing completion, we are very excited because we will have an additional green, clean, beautiful, and civilized common space."

Expediting the construction of squares and gardens is not only a requirement for timely completion, but also a strategic step in the urban modernization process, improving the quality of public spaces and creating the image of a modern city.
