Focus investment on key projects.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the planned investment capital from the state budget for 2026 is over 13,845 trillion VND. The province has directed investors to urgently implement and accelerate the progress of projects and works, and disburse the allocated capital. As of the end of April, disbursement reached over 1,684 trillion VND, achieving 12.17% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister for 2026, equivalent to 78.8% compared to the same period last year.

Currently, the province is focusing on investing in key projects such as: the Dai Ngai Bridge construction project in the former Tra Vinh - Soc Trang province; the Ba Lai 8 Bridge construction project; the Dinh Khao Bridge project; and the National Highway 57 bypass project (access road to Dinh Khao Bridge). In addition, it is accelerating the investment preparation for projects such as: coordinating and expediting the Cua Dai Bridge project connecting Vinh Long province with Dong Thap province; the coastal road project connecting Ben Tre province with Tien Giang and Tra Vinh provinces; the Co Chien 2 Bridge project; and the coastal corridor (area).

Regarding the Dai Ngai Bridge project, construction packages are currently underway with a value of 3,536/5,089.91 billion VND, reaching 69.47% of the contract (excluding contingency). Specifically, construction package No. 11-XL (construction of Dai Ngai Bridge 2, the route and related structures) has reached 1,370/1,543.19 billion VND, achieving 88.7%; and construction package No. 15-XL (construction of Dai Ngai Bridge 1) has reached 2,166/3,527.76 billion VND, achieving 61.5%.

Meanwhile, for the Ba Lai 8 bridge project, the construction output to date has reached 336.34/1,279.844 billion VND, achieving 26.3% of the contract (excluding contingency). The project is currently under construction across 3 packages, with package 1 at 14% completion, package 2 at 51.6%, and package 3 at 29%.
