However, with approximately 15 million active 2G subscribers, to ensure customer rights are not affected, authorities and network operators have prepared optimal transition support plans for users. According to the roadmap, 2G networks will be shut down nationwide by September 2024. The shutdown of 2G phones by domestic network operators aims to implement the roadmap for phasing out old mobile technology and popularizing smartphones to promote the digital economy and digital society.
