Fishing boat in Ha Tinh caught fire fiercely

On the afternoon of February 5, according to information from the People's Committee of Ky Loi Commune (Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh Province), a fishing boat suddenly caught fire while anchored in the area. Initial property damage is estimated at about 500 - 600 million VND.

Accordingly, at about 1:20 p.m. the same day, a fishing boat with registration number HT 90382 TS, with a capacity of nearly 400 horsepower, owned by Mr. Mai Hong Trich (residing in village 4 Dong Yen, Ky Loi commune), anchored at the boat mooring area of Ky Loi resettlement area (in Ky Phuong ward, Ky Anh town) caught fire fiercely.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities coordinated with local authorities to quickly mobilize vehicles and equipment, and coordinate with local people to approach the scene to put out the fire.

A few hours later the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.

At the scene, the fishing boat was severely damaged by fire, the cabin and many wooden tools were completely burned. At the time of the fire, there was no one on the fishing boat.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

In early December 2023, a similar incident occurred in Ca Mau , causing a boat owner to lose about 100 million VND.

Specifically, at around 10:30 a.m. on December 1, 2023, Song Doc Border Guard Station (Ca Mau Border Guard) received a report from local residents that in Hamlet 11, Song Doc town, a fishing boat was on fire from the cabin, with the risk of spreading to other boats anchored nearby.

Song Doc Border Guard Station quickly deployed 15 officers and soldiers to coordinate with Song Doc Town Police and local forces to carry out fire fighting measures.

Thanks to the quick deployment of firefighting forces, the fire was completely extinguished by around 11am. The cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical short circuit on the ship.
