World No. 1 Pickleball Player Andrei Daescu Competes in Vietnam

The series of events takes place from April 11 to 18, 2025 in Hanoi, Trang An (Ninh Binh), Ha Long Bay and Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together many top athletes such as Andrei Daescu ( world No. 1 doubles player). Along with Andrei Daescu, coming to Vietnam this time is the Phoenix Flames team, a team that brings together veteran players such as Jack Sock, Genie Bouchard, Tyson McGuffin, Jesse Irvine and Pesa Teoni along with many other famous Pickleball stars.

This tournament is organized by Vietnam Pickleball Incubator (VPI) - the first unit in Vietnam specializing in developing Pickleball. Sponsored by Proton, VPI has a big vision: to become a center for connecting, training and developing the Vietnamese Pickleball community towards international standards.

According to VPI representatives, the April event series is not just a sports exchange but also a starting point for a sustainable ecosystem, focusing on players and the community. VPI aims to form local clubs, organize professional tournaments, support young talents and gradually build the Vietnamese national Pickleball team.

RISE WITH THE FLAMES takes place from April 11 to 18, 2025 in Hanoi , Trang An (Ninh Binh), Ha Long Bay and Ho Chi Minh City.

In particular, on April 13 at Trang An - Ninh Binh, the audience will witness the competition between the world's top players such as Andrei Daescu and Jack Sock against some Vietnamese Pickleball players, in the majestic natural space of Trang An. On April 15 in Hanoi, for the first time, matches in the MLP format will take place between the Vietnamese Pickleball team and top international players.

Unlike individual sporting events, this series of events promises to open a new direction for Pickleball in Vietnam according to international standards. The message “RISE WITH THE FLAMES” is an invitation to the sports community, young people, managers and partners to ignite a new movement – where sports are not only about competition but also about connection, integration and comprehensive human development.

The tournament is proof that Vietnam not only plays the role of a “friendly host”, but is also ready to become a new destination for world sports – a regional Pickleball center in the future.
