Telegram introduces new anti-scam feature

After many scams on social networks, Telegram has officially launched an extremely useful user protection feature. Now, users can easily identify which accounts are genuine thanks to the new authentication system from reputable units.

Specifically, when chatting with someone on Telegram, users will see a small logo appear before their name if that account has been verified. For more details, just click on the logo to know immediately whose account it is and which organization it has been verified by.

This new feature is different from the blue tick that Telegram still uses to verify celebrities or large organizations. Entities that want to participate in verifying others must go through a thorough review process from Telegram to ensure credibility.

Telegram said this is a new update in early 2025, although it was originally planned to be released from late 2024 but was delayed due to Apple's approval process.
