Attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the Phu Binh Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Project were Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, along with representatives from several central ministries and agencies, and leaders of Thai Nguyen province. The Phu Binh Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Project covers an area of 675 hectares with a total investment of over 11,492 billion VND, and is invested by Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation - JSC (KBC). The project is located in the southeastern part of Thai Nguyen province, approximately 30 km from the provincial administrative center. The project connects to the Hanoi Ring Road 5 (CT.39), a crucial southern transportation artery, planned as a 6-lane expressway; it is also 750m from the existing National Highway 37 leading to Bac Giang .
Furthermore, the project connects to important external transportation routes included in the Thai Nguyen Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030. The project aims to become a concentrated, multi-sector industrial park, primarily attracting high-tech, automation, electronics, and clean, environmentally friendly industries that conserve resources. It also aims to promote modern technology industries, supporting industries with high added value, and those that cause minimal environmental pollution.
The future establishment of Phu Binh Industrial Park will increase the industrial land supply to boost domestic and foreign investment attraction, contributing to creating thousands of jobs for local workers, promoting a positive shift in labor and economic structure, and contributing to the socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen province and the region.
In the same event, Thai Nguyen province also commenced the construction of a social housing project on plots OXH-02, OXH-03, and OXH-04 within the Viet Han Urban Area. The project covers 2.92 hectares and has a total investment of over 982 billion VND, with Viet Han Capital Investment Joint Stock Company as the investor. The project aims to meet the housing needs of workers, laborers, and other policy beneficiaries, contributing to the goal of developing social housing, ensuring social security, and stabilizing the workforce to serve the province's socio-economic development.
Also this morning, Thai Nguyen province inaugurated the Thai Nguyen Provincial Stadium construction project, with a capacity of 22,000 seats, covering an area of 15.47 hectares, and a total investment of nearly 536 billion VND. The stadium is a modern and comprehensive facility, meeting the standards for hosting large-scale sports and cultural events in the province and the region. Once operational, the Thai Nguyen Stadium will contribute to improving the quality of facilities for sports activities, meeting the requirements for organizing large-scale sports and cultural events in the province and the region; while also creating an architectural highlight and a community space, serving the needs of the people for health training and cultural enjoyment.
The projects and works commenced and inaugurated on this occasion demonstrate the high political determination of the Party Committee, government, and people of Thai Nguyen province in concretizing the Party's major policies on developing synchronous infrastructure, promoting industrialization, ensuring social security, and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people; while simultaneously creating new development momentum, enhancing competitiveness, and gradually realizing the goal of building Thai Nguyen into a modern industrial center and an important socio-economic center of the northern midland and mountainous region.
