Thai Nguyen does not let projects and constructions be interrupted or delayed.

After the merger of Thai Nguyen province (new), there are thousands of public investment projects and works in the area with capital of tens of thousands of billions of VND. To ensure the progress of projects in the area, the province has quickly directed that there must be no interruption or delay, especially projects and works previously invested by the district level.

Thai Nguyen provincial leaders directed that projects and constructions must not be interrupted or delayed.

After the merger, the organization of the 2-level local government, Thai Nguyen province has 3 specialized project management boards at the provincial level, including: Management Board of Industrial and Civil Construction Investment Projects, Management Board of Transport and Agricultural Construction Investment Projects of Thai Nguyen province and Management Board of Northern Construction Investment Projects of Thai Nguyen province.

The Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Transport and Agricultural Works of Thai Nguyen Province is assigned to receive, manage and operate all projects, works and 158 officers and employees of the Management Boards of Investment Projects for Construction of Districts and Cities of Thai Nguyen Province (old). The number of projects and works that the district level previously invested in was very large, with about 200 projects and works in Thai Nguyen City alone.

After receiving the projects and staff of the previous district-level project management board, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Project Management Board for Investment in Construction of Transport and Agricultural Works reorganized into affiliated Project Management Boards.

At the same time, the Project Management Board directed those assigned to be in charge to require staff to continue to closely monitor the construction site, urge, direct, and require contractors to construct works and projects according to the set schedule, and direct construction supervision consultants to strictly manage quality.

Deputy Director of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works in Thai Nguyen Province, Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, said: "Assigned to manage projects and works previously invested by the district level, we determined not to let the works be interrupted or discontinuous because the contractor, design consultants, and supervision consultants did not change; directing the staff to regularly follow the works from the transition stage until completion."

Implementing the 2-level local government model, projects are assigned to the commune level to perform the investor function to avoid interruption. For example, Duc Xuan ward received and implemented under its authority the Bac Kan Stadium Construction Project and auxiliary items from the Bac Kan City Investment and Construction Project Management Board (old), this project has a scale of more than 20 hectares, 8,000 seats, a total investment of more than 250 billion VND, expected to be completed in early 2026.

At a meeting with departments and branches right after implementing the 2-level local government model, Comrade Pham Hoang Son, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, requested investors not to let projects, especially projects previously invested by district level, be interrupted, delayed, or of poor quality, and to put them into use on schedule to promote socio-economic development, consumption of materials in related economic sectors, and create jobs for workers.
