Tourism Highlights June 2025: Tourism Industry Sees Breakthrough Growth to Celebrate 65th Anniversary

On July 6, the Tourism Information Center (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism) launched the Tourism Information document for June 2025, highlighting the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the tourism industry, outstanding events in the first 6 months of the year, impressive results in implementing growth targets, and achievements in various fields.

This is the time for the Vietnamese tourism industry to look back on its 65-year history of formation and development. From the role of public service activities serving diplomacy during the period of building socialism in the North when the country was still divided, to transforming the mindset of an economic sector during the period of Renovation and international integration, and later promoting its role as the country's spearhead economic sector in the new era. Regardless of the period, the tourism industry has always successfully completed the tasks assigned by the Party, State and People, affirming the position of Vietnamese tourism as a leading attractive destination in the region and the world, making an important contribution to the country's economic development and being a bridge of cultural exchange between Vietnam and international friends.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the tourism industry continued to grow rapidly, welcoming nearly 10.7 million international visitors, an increase of 20.7% over the same period in 2024. At the Government meeting on July 3, the Prime Minister assessed tourism as one of the 10 outstanding bright spots in the first 6 months of 2025.

The achievements of the tourism industry continue to lie in the work of advising and proposing to all levels to issue directive documents, creating favorable conditions for tourism growth; a series of programs to introduce Vietnamese tourism domestically and internationally are organized with innovation, creativity and quick adaptation to new market trends. The activities are implemented methodically, with focus and key points, contributing significantly to accelerating the growth rate of tourism. Digital transformation and digital communication activities are increasingly vibrant and effective.
