Chu Dang Ya volcano in Bien Ho commune, Gia Lai province, is one of the most unique ancient volcanic craters in Vietnam. According to geologists, this volcano was active millions of years ago, leaving behind a large crater and a layer of fertile basalt soil stretching across its slopes.

Regarding this scenic spot, recently Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, held a meeting with relevant agencies to research and propose a planning scheme for the Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya Tourist Area.
The Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee assessed the Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya tourist area as a unique geological and landscape resource of Gia Lai province, possessing special natural and cultural value.
The provincial leadership has instructed the Department of Construction to coordinate with other agencies to urgently implement the tourism development plan in this area, to be completed by October 2025.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan requested that the planning of the Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya tourist area be carried out systematically and in-depth, ensuring a harmonious balance between the preservation of cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and sustainable tourism development. It should have a comprehensive, long-term development orientation, attracting a large number of locals and tourists.
