(CPV) - Up to now, Than Uyen district has 51 OCOP products with 3 stars or more. These are all potential products with strengths in the locality. Recently, the Council for evaluating and classifying OCOP products of Than Uyen district held the second conference on evaluating and classifying OCOP products in 2024.

The Council evaluated and ranked 17 products of 8 entities in the district such as: Khoen On cardamom powder, Tuan Phuong beef sausage, Ta Gia fresh shrimp, Than Uyen carp cut into pieces; Tuan Phuong chicken ham, Tham Hung smoked buffalo meat; Co Giang Dung Long sticky rice... Of which, 4 products of 3 entities were re-evaluated, including: Thiet Ha smoked buffalo meat, Thiet Ha smoked pork, Pha Mu honey; Muong Than chicken sausage. Accordingly, the products were evaluated and scored through criteria such as: product and community strength, marketing ability, product quality... Based on the evaluation of each product, delegates attending the Conference gave opinions and suggestions for the entities to improve the products with better quality, ensuring food hygiene and safety, and beautiful packaging designs.

The evaluation results show that 17/17 products meet OCOP standards at the district level and are eligible to participate in the provincial level classification evaluation in the coming time. The 51 OCOP products with 3 stars or more of the district are all potential products with strengths in the locality. Through the evaluation, classification, and recognition of OCOP products, it contributes to promoting the development of Than Uyen's
economy , creating jobs for rural workers, and increasing income for local people.
