On the night of March 15th, the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace in Hanoi was ablaze with light, music , and emotion during the premiere of the musical "Fire from the Earth".
The first performance of the musical "Fire from the Earth," organized by the Youth Theatre, was a resounding success. The performance was a sublime blend of theatrical art and modern technology (3D mapping effects), directed by General Director – Meritorious Artist Cao Ngọc Ánh, choreographed by – People's Artist Trần Ly Ly, and accompanied by emotionally charged music from Music Director – Composer Minh Đạo.

It's impossible not to mention the outstanding performances of the main cast. Meritorious Artist Thanh Tâm, in the role of Mrs. Đàm Thị – the mother of Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Vũ – perfectly embodied the image of a kind, capable, and resourceful Vietnamese mother. With her warm, deep mezzo-alto voice and genuine emotions in every gesture and glance, she brought a deeply moving portrayal of Mrs. Đàm Thị to the stage.
Singer Le Viet Anh brilliantly embodied the revolutionary Nguyen Ngoc Vu. With a good voice, a bright appearance, and many outstanding achievements, singer Le Viet Anh left a strong impression on the audience.

In addition, actors Trang Bui, Dinh Khanh, Quoc Viet, Trung Hieu, Duong Minh Anh, and Pham Van Tho also left a strong impression. The combined vocals of many singers, along with spectacular choreography, created an emotionally charged artistic atmosphere.

Not only impressive for its acting, the musical "Fire from the Earth" also overwhelms audiences with its elaborately designed stage setting. The stage of the musical "Fire from the Earth" recreates the scene of Hanoi in the 1930s. On the main stage, arched city gates such as O Quan Chuong, O Dong Mac, and the roof of the Turtle Tower appear as characteristic symbols of Hanoi.

A particularly striking feature is the high-quality 3D mapping effect, utilizing a powerful 40K projector system that flexibly covers the entire stage or specific sections. This effect is present throughout the performance, not only illustrating and dividing the space but also perfectly recreating the setting, immersing the audience in a captivating atmosphere. The subtle and metaphorical imagery transforms the stage into a world both real and surreal, evoking powerful emotions and sparking deep imagination. All these elements combine to create an epic, full of poetry and romance.
"Fire from the Earth" is not just a musical, but also an emotional journey, a deeply human story about people and the land, about perseverance and the aspiration to rise above adversity. The successful realization of the performance is thanks to the collaborative efforts of various departments and organizations such as the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hanoi City Party Committee, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, and Hanoi Radio and Television. In particular, the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) has partnered as the main sponsor, demonstrating its concern and responsibility for the development of national art. The valuable support from these agencies, departments, and sponsors not only contributes to the realization of a valuable musical but also spreads meaningful messages, honoring history and the national spirit.
The premiere was not only a success but also set a new standard for domestic musical theater. The next performance of the musical "Fire from the Earth" will take place at 8 PM on March 16th at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi.
