Reading the book, readers will have the opportunity to revisit Turtle Lake, Ben Thanh Market, Tan Son Nhat Airport, Thi Nghe Canal, and Nguyen Hue Flower Street through the unique and pure poetic perspective of Ho Huy Son. Children can admire the vast, century-old Saigon Zoo through gentle four-word verses: "Overflowing with leaves and flowers/And more birds/Here are sheep, here are squirrels/Here are monkeys, here are peacocks/Here are turtles, here are lizards/Here are goats, here are tigers/Swans, bears/Lions, zebras…". This is the author's heartwarming description of the people of Ho Chi Minh City when Central Vietnam faced disaster and floods: "This neighborhood is making cakes/Of banh tet and banh chung/Hopefully the elderly and children/Will not go hungry/And that neighborhood over there/Gathering shoes, clothes/Life jackets neatly folded/Carrying heavy hearts of humanity."
