This is the second training session of the Vietnam U.22 team in 2024, after a short training session a week ago. This training session coincides with the time when the Vietnam team gathers for FIFA Days in September 2024 and competes in the international friendly football tournament LPBank Cup 2024.

Therefore, coach Kim Sang-sik has entrusted assistant Dinh Hong Vinh to take on the role of acting head coach of the Vietnam U.22 team. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh was a member of the coaching staff of the Vietnam U.22 team during the recent training session.

Known as one of the most experienced coaches in youth training, Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh won 2 bronze medals when leading the U.16 and U.19 Vietnam teams to participate in the Southeast Asian tournament in 2007 and 2009.

In the miracle of U.20 Vietnam when winning a ticket to the 2017 U.20 World Cup, Coach Dinh Hong Vinh also received high praise from Head Coach Hoang Anh Tuan for his contributions on the coaching bench.

According to the plan, the U.22 Vietnam team will gather again on August 30. Regarding the force, the team will mainly summon the players who participated in the recent training session.

The 2024 CFA Team China International Friendly Tournament will take place from September 2 to 10, with the participation of 4 teams including host China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Malaysia. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team will fly to Changsha City (Hunan Province, China) on September 2.
