On the evening of October 13, at Binh Duong Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City), the Vietnam U17 women's team had a favorable start in Group D of the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship qualifiers when they beat Guam 5-0.

Facing an opponent with good physique but limited technique, the U17 women's team of Vietnam quickly took control of the game. After many missed opportunities, from the opponent's defensive mistakes, Minh Anh dribbled skillfully on the right wing and then scored from a narrow angle to open the score in the 21st minute.

About 20 minutes later, the striker wearing number 10 continued to shine in the 41st minute with a beautiful volley, helping the home team lead 2-0 before the first half ended.

After the break, coach Okiyama Masahiko's team maintained their dominance. In the 54th minute, Yen Nhi scored to raise the score to 3-0. In the 72nd minute, Minh Anh completed her hat-trick and Hong Thai sealed the 5-0 victory for the U17 women's team in the 86th minute.

With a big win over Guam, Vietnam's U17 women's team had a perfect start and held a big advantage in the race for a ticket to the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship Finals.
