Coach Mai Duc Chung is satisfied, Thailand coach points out the problem that caused his team to lose to Vietnam

"First of all, I would like to congratulate the Vietnamese team on their victory. We have many young players, and they need to gain experience. We still have many shortcomings that need to be overcome," the Japanese coach admitted.

In the more than 3 months from now until the 33rd SEA Games, Mr. Ikeda believes that he will have to make more efforts to bring success to Thai women's football. "We still have time to prepare for the SEA Games. Selecting the best players and improving the team's potential is extremely important.

"Currently, not only Southeast Asian teams are improving, but women's football around the world is also developing rapidly. We need to strengthen the team as much as possible. We still have time to improve. We still need to solve some problems, and we will prepare the team as best as possible to achieve success at the upcoming SEA Games."

On the other side of the front line, coach Mai Duc Chung clearly expressed his satisfaction. He said: "I am happy with this victory, thank you Hai Phong fans and the whole country for supporting and giving the team the strength to compete well. This is the second time we have won against Thailand in the tournament. We would like to dedicate today's victory to the fans nationwide in the atmosphere of celebrating the anniversaries of August 19 and September 2."

He also shared his plan to rejuvenate the squad and find young talents to succeed the players over 30 years old in Vietnam. "It's not that I don't want to rejuvenate the squad. I really wanted to bring some U20 players to the national team to play in this tournament, but because the U20 women's team of Vietnam is also doing the same task at the same time (U20 Asia qualifiers), I can't disrupt the force," said coach Mai Duc Chung.
