Launch of Russian-language People's Army Electronic Newspaper

On the morning of August 21, the People's Army Newspaper launched the Russian-language People's Army Electronic Newspaper. This is the fifth foreign language version of the People's Army Newspaper.

At the launching ceremony, Major General Doan Xuan Bo, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper, said that the foreign press has always been the main force, leading the way in foreign information work, with the mission of "bringing Vietnam closer to the world and the world closer to Vietnam". The foreign press spreads the image of an independent, self-reliant Vietnam, rising strongly after the war; proactive and responsible in international life. The foreign press is also a pioneering force in the cause of national renewal and international integration under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam .

As the agency of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense , the voice of the armed forces and people of Vietnam, the People's Army Newspaper is increasingly affirming its role as a key, multimedia media agency, guiding public opinion according to Decision No. 362/QD-TTg dated April 3, 2019 of the Prime Minister and Decision No. 5945/QD-BQP dated November 18, 2023 of the Minister of National Defense.

Major General Doan Xuan Bo informed that, along with the propaganda activities of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, military and defense activities, reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the masses, the People's Army Newspaper is also an important foreign information channel. Along with Vietnamese publications, the People's Army Newspaper has published the People's Army Electronic Newspaper pages in English, Chinese, Lao, and Khmer, making an important contribution to promoting foreign propaganda, contributing to consolidating and strengthening friendship with international friends.

“With the Russian-language electronic publication, we aim to strengthen the foreign information work of the Party and State of Vietnam in general, focusing on Russian-language defense diplomacy; contributing to promoting and introducing the country and people of Vietnam, and the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. At the same time, contributing to educating and raising awareness among the younger generation as well as officers and soldiers of the armed forces about the responsibility to preserve and expand the good traditional relationship between Vietnam and Russia, along with that, actively fighting against wrong views, distortions, and sabotage of solidarity and cooperation for development between Vietnam and the Russian Federation", Major General Doan Xuan Bo emphasized.

According to information from the launching ceremony, during the preparation for launching the Russian-language People's Army Electronic Newspaper, the People's Army Newspaper received attention, direction, and assistance from the heads of the Ministry of National Defense, the heads of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, and functional agencies.

Despite many difficulties, the Russian Language Department has initially built and shaped a rich, diverse appearance, in line with the direction of the People's Army Electronic Newspaper.

With that approach, in the coming time, the Russian Electronic People's Army Newspaper will closely follow the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, seriously and creatively implement the propaganda orientation, and convey information to the public, especially to foreigners, contributing to affirming and further enhancing the tradition of the very good friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
