Ho Chi Minh City I won the 2025 National Women's Football Championship

A goalless draw with Hanoi in the final round was enough for Ho Chi Minh City I to successfully defend their championship title, ending the 2025 season with their 12th consecutive crown at the National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup.

The match at Ha Nam Stadium on the afternoon of October 14 was decisive as both Ho Chi Minh City I and Hanoi still had a chance to compete for the title. With a 2-point advantage before the match, Ho Chi Minh City I only needed a draw to be crowned, while Hanoi had to win.

With no way back, the capital team proactively pushed up their formation from the very first minutes, launching many high-speed attacks with highlights from Pham Hai Yen and Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha.

However, the tight and experienced defense of Ho Chi Minh City I stood firm against all the pressure. Meanwhile, the students of coach Doan Thi Kim Chi also took advantage of the high ball situations to counterattack, but the hot weather conditions somewhat affected the coordination of both teams.

In the second half, Ho Chi Minh City I continued to play solidly, controlling the game reasonably thanks to the advantage of points. Meanwhile, the pressure to score made Hanoi 's actions lack the necessary precision.

The last chances passed in regret for Thanh Nha and her teammates. The score of 0-0 was maintained until the end of the match, meaning that Ho Chi Minh City I officially won the championship of the 2025 season with an undefeated record.

In addition to the collective championship, Ho Chi Minh City I also won two important individual titles. Veteran midfielder Tran Thi Thuy Trang was named the tournament's Best Player, while the entire team was awarded the Style Award for their beautiful play and professional spirit.

In the remaining categories, striker Pham Hai Yen (Hanoi) won the title of Player with the most goals with 6 goals. Goalkeeper Khong Thi Hang (Than-Khoang San Viet Nam) was voted the best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

With the 12th time stepping onto the podium of glory, Ho Chi Minh City I continues to affirm its number one position in Vietnamese women's football, and is also a great source of inspiration for the development of the future generation of young players.
