The younger generation proudly follows in the footsteps of their forefathers.

(Dong Nai) - In December, amidst the vibrant atmosphere celebrating the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2025), the special edition of the "Children's Music Garden" program will bring a space filled with pride and emotion. Here, pure melodies will be sung to pay tribute to the soldiers who are guarding the peace of the Fatherland day and night.

In harmony with the nationwide celebration of December 22nd, the Children's Music Garden, themed "Following Uncle Ho's Teachings," will air this Sunday. Under the guidance of the charming MCs Tuyet Anh and Thao Nhi, the program serves as a bridge connecting children with the soldiers, fostering not only greater love for "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" but also a deeper understanding and appreciation of their silent yet immense sacrifices.

The highlight that touched the hearts of viewers in this episode was not just the music, but the simple, sincere sharing from the children themselves. Viewers were moved to tears by the mature thoughts of Bảo An: “We know that your work is not easy. But it is thanks to your courage that we can live in peace and freedom.” Or the determined promise of Huyền Trân: “You are a great source of motivation for us children... I promise to study hard so that I can contribute to building a beautiful country like you.” These words of encouragement were like flames warming the soldiers on the front lines and added meaning to this historic anniversary.

The program was structured like a musical diary of a military march. It conveyed a poignant yet proud longing through "Remembering My Father in the Distant Islands" (performed by Quỳnh Lam), and a feeling of love for the vast sea and sky through "I Sing About the Distant Islands" (performed by Thiên Kim). The program was particularly vibrant and spirited with the choral performances of "I'm Practicing Marching" and "Continuing the Story of Peace." Each song was a spiritual gift, a wish for the soldiers to always be healthy, safe, and steadfast in the face of all challenges, protecting the sacred territorial sovereignty of the country.

Beyond simply expressing gratitude, the "Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" program conveys a profound educational message. If soldiers march to maintain peace, then each day at school for young children is also a "marching" with their dreams and responsibilities. Through the sharing of Quynh Anh and Gia Han about implementing the five teachings of Uncle Ho, the program encourages the younger generation to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors by studying hard and training diligently. This is the most practical way to continue writing the story of peace for the nation.
