The Vinh Phuc Provincial Police are conducting an investigation at the scene.

As reported by CAND newspaper, at approximately 9:15 AM on the same day, a 29-seat passenger bus, license plate 29F-059.95 (with a valid inspection certificate until August 19, 2025), driven by Nguyen Van Tu (born in 1984), residing in Tan Phong commune, Ninh Giang district, Hai Duong province (holding a Class D driver's license issued by the Bac Ninh Provincial Department of Transport), was traveling from Tam Dao town, Tam Dao district, when its brakes failed and the bus overturned on the roadside at Km19 of National Highway 2B, in Ho Son commune (Tam Dao). Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue recounted the accident.

Receiving treatment at the hospital after the bus accident, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue, a resident of Thanh Mien, is still in shock. She suffered injuries to her left hand and required surgery to repair a tendon. According to Ms. Hue, she and her daughter, along with other employees from her company, were returning to Hanoi from Tam Dao when the accident occurred. Everyone on the bus was from the same company in Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province. The bus departed from Thanh Mien at 1:30 PM on April 25th and began its descent from Tam Dao at 9:00 AM on April 26th.

As one of the lucky ones who suffered only minor injuries, Ms. Vu Thi Tho recounted that during the descent, as the passenger bus entered a curve, the driver applied the brakes, causing the vehicle to make a creaking sound. The first two creaks only caused the bus to tilt, but on the third creak, the bus overturned and rolled three times. Fortunately, the bus hit the guardrail; otherwise, we would have fallen into the ravine.

Currently, the cause of this serious traffic accident is being investigated and clarified by the relevant units of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police.
