The planning adjustment scope is 250 hectares, including protected areas and traffic connection areas.
Regarding traffic connection, Dong Nai plans to add 3 cable car routes (currently there is 1 cable car route from the foot of the mountain to Buu Quang Pagoda) from the southeast foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, near the French Governor-General's residence and Bao Dai tea garden. According to Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, these cable car points are traffic hubs serving tourists to reach the top of the mountain.
In addition, 4 more mountain railways are planned to serve the travel needs, connecting the Chua Chan mountain peak areas. For the Chua Chan mountain tourism, ecological and resort project group, the total investment is about 18,000 billion VND.
Previously, in order to develop Chua Chan Mountain and Nui Le Lake (both in Xuan Loc District) into attractive tourist destinations, Dong Nai called for investment in a 1,342-hectare urban - service - tourism chain here.
In the Chua Chan mountain area alone, Dong Nai plans to form a residential, sports and resort area with a scale of about 275 hectares, of which the golf course is about 100 hectares.
Currently, Dong Nai is completing related procedures such as establishing an investment policy; building a sustainable forest tourism development plan and a project for eco-tourism , resort and entertainment in the Chua Chan mountain area; establishing a functional zoning plan for the Chua Chan mountain area; converting forest land purposes to other land purposes and a list of land recovery to implement the project and researching and establishing a plan for auctioning land use rights to implement the project according to regulations.
Chua Chan Mountain, also known as Gia Lao or Gia Ray, is 837m high and is the second highest mountain in the South (after Ba Den Mountain in Tay Ninh ). It has been ranked as a national scenic relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism since 2012.
