After 21 days of deployment to search for and collect the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos during the 2024-2025 dry season, the Nghệ An Provincial Military Command's team for the collection of remains has so far searched for, exhumed, and collected 9 sets of remains of Vietnamese soldiers and experts who died in Laos.
Previously, on October 22nd, the Steering Committee 515 of Nghe An province held a send-off ceremony, assigning the task to the Search and Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command to search for and collect the remains of 80 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Vientiane, and Xaysomboun, Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Twenty-one days after their deployment, the Nghệ An Provincial Military Command's team for the collection of remains of fallen soldiers has searched for, exhumed, and collected the remains of nine Vietnamese soldiers and experts who died in Laos. Of these, seven remains were collected in Xieng Khouang province and two in Xaysomboun province. Currently, the remains of these soldiers are being brought back to the unit's barracks in Phonsavan town, Xieng Khouang province (Laos) for veneration.
During the 2023-2024 dry season, the Search and Recovery Team of the Provincial Military Command searched for, exhumed, and collected 87 remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the three provinces of Laos. Specifically, 75 remains were collected in Xieng Khouang province, 3 in Vientiane province, and 9 in Xaysomboun province.
The remains of 87 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in three provinces of Laos, which were searched for, exhumed, and collected during the 2023-2024 dry season, were solemnly commemorated and reburied by the Party Committee, government, and people of Nghe An province. This was done with deep gratitude for the martyrs' sacrifices in the struggle for national liberation, reunification, and the noble international mission.
