Another social housing project worth more than 2,000 billion VND

According to the Office of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, on August 25, 2023, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee approved the Decision approving the investment policy of the Social Housing project in the Residential Area adjacent to the extended B6 Road in Bac Lenh Ward, Lao Cai City with the form of selecting investors by bidding to select investors according to the provisions of law.

This project has an expected land area of ​​42,317.7m2. The investment scale is to build 4 social housing blocks with a maximum height of 25 floors, expected to provide about 2,192 apartments.

Of which, 03 social housing blocks with a scale of 25 floors, no basement, construction area of ​​about 6,146m2, total construction floor area of ​​about 121,484m2, expected to provide about 1,382 apartments; 01 social housing block with a maximum scale of 25 floors, with 1 basement, construction area of ​​about 3,004m2, total construction floor area of ​​about 77,263m2, expected to provide about 810 apartments. Total investment capital is about over 2,000 billion VND

The project implementation progress will be invested and constructed within 5 years from the date the investor is decided to allocate land or lease land.

Investors are only allowed to implement the project (start construction) when the project location has been approved by the Prime Minister to be adjusted out of the national mineral reserve area (adjustment of Decision No. 645/QD-TTg dated May 6, 2014).

According to the 2023 housing development plan, Lao Cai province will have 5 social housing projects with a land area of ​​about 14.22 hectares.

The planned construction projects include: Lam Vien social housing area, Nam Cuong ward, Lao Cai city with a total construction area of ​​4.70 hectares; Dien Bien social housing street, Coc Leu ward, Lao Cai city with a total construction area of ​​0.55 hectares.

Currently, in the province, there is a social housing project being invested in Sa Pa town, which is a social housing project for low-income people in the Northwest reserve area of ​​Sa Pa town with a total land area of ​​2.53 hectares, a total floor area of ​​about 51,994 m2, with 917 apartments, meeting the housing needs of 3,700 people.

Previously, the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board also issued a decision approving the investment policy to build social housing for workers working in the industrial and commercial zone, including four 12-storey buildings with 745 apartments worth nearly VND600 billion on the left side of the Red River in Soi Man village, Van Hoa commune, Lao Cai city.
