According to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Electronic Information Portal, on May 14th, the Provincial People's Committee held a working session with Geleximco Group to hear a report on the proposed investment project in the province from Geleximco Group and Duc Khang Sichuan Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Food Group Joint Stock Company. This joint venture proposed investing in a project for pig farming, pig breeding, high-tech poultry farming combined with tea cultivation to the Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee.

The project has a total planned area of approximately 552.8 hectares and an estimated total investment of up to US$300 million, equivalent to VND 7,854 billion. The project implementation schedule is divided into three phases from 2027 to 2035, potentially creating jobs for about 1,400 local workers. According to the project proposal assessment, the project is not yet eligible for submission to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval of the investment policy due to incompatibility with the planning and current land use status of the area where the project is planned to be implemented in Truong Sinh and Phu Luong communes. During the meeting, leaders of relevant departments and the investor focused on clarifying legal issues related to the project investment; difficulties and obstacles related to planning, land, economic efficiency, and environmental impact.
Thus, if the project is approved, another large corporation will enter the livestock industry. Geleximco Group is known as a diversified conglomerate prominent in industrial production, infrastructure - real estate, and even finance, banking, and trade services. Geleximco holds a series of large-scale real estate projects such as the Dragon Ocean Do Son International Tourist Area, Geleximco Le Trong Tan, An Binh Plaza, Giao Luu City, along with industrial plants such as thermal power plants, cement factories, and pulp mills...
Geleximco is not the first company to venture into the livestock sector; many corporations such as Hoa Phat and Thaco have previously invested heavily in agriculture. Many companies have also boosted investment and achieved great success in expanding into this industry.
