On November 5, voters across the United States officially went to the polls to decide whether Donald Trump or Kamala Harris will be the successor to President Joe Biden.

VTC News readers can predict the results of the 2024 US Presidential election here.

Who do you predict will win the 2024 US Presidential election?

For the past 60 years, three towns have maintained the tradition of the earliest voting in the United States: Dixville Notch, Hart's Location and Millsfield in the state of New Hampshire. However, this year, Hart's Location and Millsfield did not organize activities for voters to vote at midnight.

Mr Trump and Ms Harris were tied at the first polling place in the town of Dixville Notch, with each receiving three votes.

The town of Dixville Notch, located along the US-Canada border in the northern tip of New Hampshire, opened and closed its polls overnight ET, following a voting tradition established in 1960.

Donald Trump has wrapped up his final campaign stop after nearly two hours of speaking in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The former US president reiterated many of his campaign promises, such as pledging to impose high tariffs and crack down on illegal immigration.

Meanwhile, Ms. Harris ended her shortest campaign in history in Pennsylvania, President Biden's home state. According to the Vice President's office, Ms. Harris will spend Election Day in Washington for radio interviews.

Governor Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, said he was disappointed but not surprised that the race between Ms. Harris and Mr. Trump was so close, in an interview recorded in Pennsylvania last week and released on November 5.

"The results are disappointing to me, because the two choices are so contrasting. But this is also not surprising because the country is really divided," Mr. Walz said.

The final NBC News poll on November 3 showed Ms. Harris and Mr. Trump both at 49% support, with only 2% of respondents still unsure about their choice.

NBC said that given the close margin that polls predicted, it could take "a week" to determine a winner.
