During this reporting period, all other variants showed a declining or stabilizing trend. The available evidence suggests that XFG, NB.1.8.1, and BA.3.2 do not pose any additional public health risk compared to other circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants.

Domestically, the Hanoi Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the city recorded its first two Covid-19 cases in the first weeks of 2026, an increase compared to the same period in 2025 (0 cases).
