"Chelsea need to sign more players to further improve the squad. We have to face the reality that the team is currently in the middle of the table (Premier League). The upcoming transfer market will be an opportunity for Chelsea to buy suitable players to strengthen the team and move up," said Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, after the shock 0-2 defeat to Everton and dropping to 12th place in the Premier League table.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has publicly stated that Chelsea needs to buy more players despite having already spent over £1 billion.
Chelsea have spent over £1 billion on players in the last three transfer windows. However, under their new American owners (represented by billionaire Todd Boehly), the Stamford Bridge club continues to decline with a lack of direction in their playing style.
Last season, Chelsea went through four managers from Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter to Bruno Saltor, and Frank Lampard (interim), but still only finished 12th in the Premier League. This season, so far, new manager Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea are still only ranked 12th (after 16 rounds).
According to MailOnline : "Manager Mauricio Pochettino wants Chelsea's board to sign at least one top striker. They are targeting Napoli star Victor Osimhen for a price of £100 million or more. But the team's defense also needs strengthening, as full-backs Reece James and Marc Cucurella, along with goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, are all plagued by injuries. It is very likely that Chelsea's new owners will have to spend more money, and they may spend heavily to save the team from its rapid decline."

Chelsea are in freefall.
"At Manchester United, billionaire Jim Ratcliffe is close to finalizing the purchase of a 25% stake worth £1.25 billion, giving him control over the club's entire sporting operations. They will also spend £200 million on player transfers for manager Erik ten Hag, should they continue to place their trust in his project."
"MU also faces the possibility of parting ways with a number of stars, including the duo Casemiro and Varane, midfielder Eriksen, defender Reguilon, midfielder Amrabat, Van de Beek, striker Martial and of course Jadon Sancho (due to internal disciplinary action)," MailOnline reported.
MU also has problems in attack, with their forwards having only scored 2 goals (both by Rashford) since the start of the season, while striker Rasmus Hojlund has scored 5 goals in the Champions League but has failed to score in the Premier League. Chelsea's desired striker Osimhen is also a target for MU.
Casemiro is recovering from injury, but the Brazilian star is considering leaving Manchester United for a move to Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, a wave of injuries has forced Newcastle to patch up their squad, resulting in two consecutive defeats against Everton (0-3) and Tottenham (1-4). They will also take advantage of the upcoming transfer window to recruit players from the Saudi Pro League (Saudi Arabia).
"Newcastle are targeting players from clubs with the same owner (Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund) for loan or transfer at a suitable fee," MailOnline reported.
Meanwhile, Man City, Liverpool, and Arsenal will also be making signings to strengthen their squads for the Premier League title race. Man City and Arsenal, these two English football giants, have even bigger ambitions: to defend and conquer their Champions League titles.
