After 7 days of voting for the 31st Mai Vàng Awards 2025, the Organizing Committee announced the provisional rankings in 16 categories.

Although the leading names are yet to be determined, the initial picture painted by readers shows many noteworthy signs: fierce competition, exciting surprises, and especially a very high possibility of an "overthrow" in the final stretch.

People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc commented that the Mai Vang Awards always have a special "heartbeat," because every movement originates from the public: "The provisional ranking after 7 days doesn't say anything for sure, but it's very worth reading. It shows the aesthetic taste of today's audience – they care about artistic depth and humanistic values, not just fleeting fame."

According to him, the widespread voting factor is what allows the Mai Vàng Awards to always have unpredictable breakthroughs in the final stages. From another perspective, Meritorious Artist Ca Lê Hồng believes that surprises in the provisional rankings are positive for the art world: "When no one is truly leading, it means the race is open. This creates an exciting atmosphere, encouraging artists and audiences alike to accompany the competition until the very end. Therefore, the Mai Vàng Awards are not just about the result, but about the entire journey."

She emphasized that many artists have a long and quiet career, but when they are recognized by the public, that recognition is of immense value.

Readers are the impartial judges.

People's Artist Viet Anh views the provisional ranking as a "map of readers' emotions" over the past year: "There are stage names that appear quietly, but consistently receive attention from readers. This shows that today's readers are more discerning; they are impartial judges who recognize the true value of works and serious artistic endeavors."

According to him, the fact that the vote distribution is not heavily skewed towards one side also reflects fairness and democracy – core elements that have built the prestige of the Mai Vàng Awards for over three decades.

In the field of music , composer Nguyen Ngoc Thien believes that the provisional rankings are raising many expectations: "What I clearly see is that readers are paying attention to works that touch genuine emotions, are connected to social life and the national spirit. The results after 7 days show that this year's race is very 'beautiful' and very much worth waiting for."

He also believes that as the year draws to a close, strong reader participation will cause the rankings to constantly fluctuate. From the comments of experts, it can be seen that the provisional ranking of the 31st Mai Vàng Awards - 2025 is not just a simple vote count, but a vivid measure of the connection between artists and the public.

When the outcome is still undecided, it creates a special excitement, promising a dramatic final stretch – where all predictions could be rewritten at the last minute.
