Nghi Son town strives to plant more than 200,000 trees on the occasion of the Spring Tree Planting Festival of At Ty

On the afternoon of February 3rd (the 6th day of the first lunar month), at the Temple of Grand Tutor Hoang Quoc Cong Dao Duy Tu (Nguyen Binh ward), the People's Committee of Nghi Son town organized the launching ceremony of the "Tree Planting Festival to Forever Remember Uncle Ho" for the Spring of the Year of the Snake 2025.

Over the years, Nghi Son town has successfully implemented the tree planting and reforestation movement. Annual concentrated reforestation efforts have reached over 400 hectares, while community-based and scattered tree planting has exceeded 364,000 trees. Forest protection and fire prevention and control have received focused attention, and forest security has been largely maintained. Tree planting and reforestation have become a cherished cultural tradition, maintained annually with the active participation of all levels of government, sectors, and the people.

To ensure the successful implementation of the "Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to Uncle Ho" in the Spring of 2025, and to effectively carry out the directives of the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province regarding the plan for tree planting, reforestation, fire prevention and control, and forest management and protection in 2025, the People's Committee of Nghi Son town has directed relevant departments, organizations, and localities to conduct extensive propaganda through various forms to inform the people about the great role, benefits, and humanitarian value of tree planting and reforestation, creating a movement of "Everyone plants trees, every household plants trees, the entire population plants trees and forests." The goal is to plant more than 200,000 trees throughout the town during the Tree Planting Festival in the Spring of 2025. Local authorities and units should proactively prepare all necessary conditions regarding site conditions, quality seedlings, materials, human resources, and funding to effectively implement tree planting and reforestation plans within their managed areas. They should select suitable tree species to create landscapes and ecological environments, while also linking them to socio -economic development in the area.

Communes, wards, and units should prepare well to ensure the completion and exceeding of the 2025 forestry development plan. The entire town strives to plant approximately 400 hectares of new forest and 364,000 scattered trees, protect existing forest resources well, ensure forest security, and minimize forest fires.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the leaders of Nghi Son town, along with a large number of officials, Party members, and citizens, participated in planting trees in the grounds of the Temple of Grand Tutor Hoang Quoc Cong Dao Duy Tu.
