Nghi Son town strives to plant more than 200,000 trees on the occasion of the Spring Tree Planting Festival of At Ty

On the afternoon of February 3 (January 6), at the Temple of Grand Master Hoang Quoc Cong Dao Duy Tu (Nguyen Binh Ward), Nghi Son Town People's Committee organized the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025.

In recent years, Nghi Son town has successfully implemented the tree planting and forestation movement. Annual concentrated forestation work reaches over 400 hectares, planting People's trees, dispersed over 364 thousand trees, forest protection, forest fire prevention and fighting work has been directed with attention, forest security has been basically maintained. Tree planting and forestation has become a good cultural tradition, maintained annually with the active participation of all levels, sectors and people.

In order to achieve the set plan for the "Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in the Spring of At Ty 2025, and at the same time effectively implement the direction of the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on the plan for tree planting, afforestation and fire prevention, fighting, management and protection of forests in 2025, the People's Committee of Nghi Son town has directed branches, organizations, and localities to widely propagate in many forms to people about the role, great effects, benefits and humanistic values ​​of tree planting and afforestation, creating a movement of "Everyone plants trees, every household plants trees, the whole population plants trees, plants forests". Strive to plant more than 200,000 trees in the Spring of At Ty. Localities and units proactively prepare all conditions regarding the site, quality seedlings, materials, human resources, and funding to effectively implement tree planting and forestation plans in the management area, select a number of suitable tree species to create landscapes and ecological environments, and at the same time link with socio -economic development in the area.

Communes, wards and units prepare well the conditions to ensure the completion and over-fulfillment of the forestry development plan in 2025. The whole town strives to plant about 400 hectares of new trees, 364,000 scattered trees, protect the existing forest capital well, ensure forest security, and minimize the occurrence of forest fires.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, leaders of Nghi Son town together with a large number of cadres, party members and people participated in planting trees at the temple of Grand Master Hoang Quoc Cong Dao Duy Tu.
