On May 17th, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Tien Phong Newspaper, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, and the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, organized the 2nd Science and Technology Admissions Fair in 2026.

Professor Tran Hong Thai, President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology
Speaking at the event, Professor Tran Hong Thai, President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, emphasized that the world is entering a period of rapid development, where the strength of each nation is no longer measured by natural resources but by "the intellectual content and the capacity to master core technologies." Science is no longer a choice for the entire country… but has become an inevitable choice to lead the development of the students themselves and future generations.
According to Professor Tran Hong Thai, university students only have about 3 to 5 years of study before entering the labor market. Therefore, identifying a field with future development potential is extremely important. "Choosing a profession is crucial. What students learn today will later be the tools to master technology and apply it to life," said Professor Tran Hong Thai.

Professor Tran Hong Thai believes that the world is opening up vast opportunities through technological breakthroughs. This is a golden time for students to choose science and technology majors.
"The world is opening a vast door, the vastest in human history, through technological breakthroughs. You are the ones holding the key. If you dare to step through this safe door and venture into science, you will not only find a career but also find yourselves and your destiny, the destiny of your family, and the destiny of the Vietnamese nation," expressed the President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
The 2nd Science and Technology Admissions Fair in 2026 was organized based on the philosophy of "touch, try, and understand," with over 60 experiential booths.

Candidates directly experience STEM activities.
The program involved approximately 5,000 students from high schools and universities/colleges in science and technology fields across the country, from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, to Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, and more.
Beyond just providing admissions counseling, the event has become a space connecting science and technology training resources nationwide with students – the future workforce of the science and technology sector.

The program involved approximately 5,000 students from various secondary schools.
Journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee, affirmed that Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation not only opens up strategic directions for the country's development in the new era but also conveys an important message about the role of knowledge, technology, and people in Vietnam's future.
According to the Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, the key difference of the Science and Technology Admissions Fair lies in its specialized organizational orientation, focusing on training institutions with strengths in science, technology, engineering, and innovation.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology provides advice to candidates and parents.
The event includes a seminar on the theme "Science and Technology - The Future of the Nation, Opportunities for Young People"; a program to advise on the 2026 high school graduation exam and university entrance exam; a program sharing about careers in the digital age; tours of laboratories, scientific research spaces and the Vietnam Natural History Museum; and hands-on experiences with STEM activities, including an hour as a science and technology student…
