(QNgTV)- The recent incident of a 7th grade student at Dai Kim Secondary School (Hanoi) beating a teacher has caused a wave of outrage in society. The outrage is justified, because no matter how democratic it is today, no one allows students to beat their teachers.

In the past, this kind of thing never happened, because “respecting teachers and valuing education” was the highest moral in society. In the past, those who went to school understood this, and they always respected their teachers, even more than their fathers and mothers in the family.

Nowadays, in schools, ethics is taught as a major subject, all students learn it, but how much they know and how to implement it is another story. The policy of “students are the center” does not mean that students are greater than teachers, because “Without a teacher, you cannot succeed”, teachers not only teach letters but also “first learn manners”, so that students can become useful people for society in the future.

In this story of beating the teacher, which is very anti -educational , the role of the parents is not small. Although everyone knows that many parents have to work very hard to earn a living every day, and do not have much time for their children, but to educate their children to live politely and morally, parents do not have to "lecture" their children, but through daily events, at the dinner table, in their free time, parents can talk affectionately with their children, and the children who are students will gradually understand how they should live in school and outside of school.

Parents should never ignore such ugly things in their children, until they are startled when their children do illegal things, then it is too late.

For teachers, nowadays the media is very fast, teachers have to communicate with parents about their children every day, so that parents can closely monitor their children, and not let situations happen that cause pain to the school and family.

As human beings, no one is the same, in class or school there are students who are called “problem students”. If that difference is just personality, then there is nothing to worry about. But saying “problem” means talking about the bad qualities of these students, so we need to immediately find measures to prevent them from developing and spoiling them.

And this is the teacher's task: to make each lesson bring joy, enjoyment and excitement to students. When students see that learning brings joy, they will naturally love to learn, love to understand, and good qualities will be formed in a sustainable way. That is how learning to be a human is.
