Vietnam earned 1.122 billion VND from tourism during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon.

On February 13th, Mr. Bui Quoc Thai, Director of the Kien Giang Provincial Department of Tourism, stated that from the 29th of the Lunar New Year to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year (February 8-14), the province is estimated to have received 335,054 visitors, including 53,598 foreign visitors; 214,381 visitors to tourist attractions, and 120,673 overnight stays, with an occupancy rate of 66.3%. Total revenue reached 1,122 billion VND.

Phu Quoc City alone is estimated to have welcomed 191,255 visitors, including 51,929 international tourists and 66,958 overnight guests, an increase of 4.6% compared to the same period last year.

Mr. Thai also added that preparations to serve tourists during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024 have been quite well-prepared by localities and tourism service businesses. Service products have been strengthened and updated, and some new products have been introduced such as the "Kiss the Star" show, "Proposal," "Vui Fest Bazaar Night Market," "Light Park and Ice Forest," and many other cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities... ready to serve tourists.

In addition, environmental sanitation, food safety, security, and fire safety are well-maintained, ensuring the safety of tourists. Prices are clearly displayed, and services, facilities, equipment, vehicles, food, and personnel are well-prepared to fully meet the needs of tourists for recreation, entertainment, dining, and relaxation.
