Dong Thap goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong ended his contract with Hanoi FC three months ahead of schedule.
Tan Truong joined Hanoi FC in May 2020. Over four seasons, he has made 67 appearances, keeping 26 clean sheets. The goalkeeper from Dong Thap played an important role in helping the capital team win the 2022 V-League, two National Cups in 2020 and 2022, and two Vietnam Super Cups in 2020 and 2022.
In the 2023-2024 season, Hanoi FC often uses goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan as the main goalkeeper, so Tan Truong's chances of playing are gradually decreasing. Therefore, he decided to leave to find more playing opportunities. According to VnExpress sources, Tan Truong is likely to join the First Division team Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc , where he will reunite with Nguyen Anh Duc - his former teammate who is now the head coach.

He started three matches against Indonesia, Malaysia and UAE. Then in the third qualifying round, he started six matches against China (2), Saudi Arabia (2), Japan and Australia. The goalkeeper from Dong Thap participated in the 2020 AFF Cup in Singapore, but was a reserve for Tran Nguyen Manh and only played in the 4-0 win over Cambodia in the group stage.
