(MPI) - On November 26, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc attended the Conference to introduce investment potential and promote typical products of An Giang province with the theme "An Giang: New space - New value".
Attending the Conference were Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung and representatives of ministries, branches, organizations, associations, enterprises, domestic and foreign investors.

The conference is an important event to introduce the potential and competitive advantages of An Giang province, the list of investment attraction projects according to the planning orientation of An Giang province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, creating conditions for investors, businesses and international organizations to learn about the preferential policies and investment environment of An Giang province.
At the Conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc presented a speech on the Government 's development orientation for the Mekong Delta region as well as the potential for investment cooperation in An Giang province. In particular, she emphasized the potential and advantages of the region and the province; industries and professions that focus on attracting investment to be able to participate more deeply in the value chain, creating more added value in the coming time.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, as the Government's general advisory body in developing strategies, plans, and socio-economic development plans for the country, the Ministry of Planning and Investment continues to accompany An Giang province in implementing the national action plan on green growth to contribute to realizing Vietnam's commitment to achieving zero net emissions by 2050; actively mobilizing donors, bilateral and multilateral organizations to have preferential loans to support An Giang province in particular and provinces in the Mekong Delta region in general to implement strategic projects, sustainable development and climate change adaptation.
Along with that, advise the Prime Minister on the ability to balance resources at a reasonable level so that An Giang province can develop its socio-economy in association with the development of the Mekong Delta region; in the construction and development of a number of key industrial zones; promote and improve the efficiency of public investment projects in the area; improve the investment and business environment; resolve difficulties and obstacles in the process of investment and business activities in An Giang province.
Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized the potential advantages in socio-economic development of the province and said that the potential and advantages of An Giang province need to be promoted more strongly in the coming time so that investors and businesses can see the potential and advantages for investment.
Mr. Ho Van Mung outlined the potential, advantages and development aspirations of An Giang province in the coming time; at the same time, he affirmed that An Giang always accompanies and shares with investors, creating the most favorable conditions to turn investors' ideas and goals in the province's planning into reality.
With the theme "An Giang: New Space - New Values" as a message, An Giang province wishes to convey to all domestic and foreign investors and enterprises the core values and contents of the An Giang Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister; which sets the goal that by 2030 An Giang will be a fairly developed province in the Mekong Delta region; have a dynamic, harmonious and sustainable economic development; be a center for research and development of varieties and production of high-tech agriculture, aquaculture and medicinal herbs; a center for eco-tourism in the region; a hub for trade and cooperation with the Kingdom of Cambodia; have a synchronous socio-economic infrastructure system, adapting to climate change; traditional cultural values are preserved and promoted; national defense and security are maintained; social order and safety are stable; Social security is guaranteed, people's lives are prosperous and happy.
Vision to 2050 An Giang is a province with comprehensive, modern, civilized, ecological and sustainable development; a hub for trading goods and services of the region with the Cambodian market and ASEAN countries; a unified cultural identity in the diversity of ethnic groups in the province and imbued with the river culture of the Mekong Delta. Strong national defense and security, stable social order and safety, people have a prosperous and happy life.
The conference introduces investment potential and promotes typical products of An Giang province to introduce the potential, competitive advantages of the province, the list of key projects to attract investment according to the orientation of An Giang Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Create conditions for investors, businesses, and international organizations to learn about the mechanisms, preferential policies and investment environment of the province.
