Cambodian Prime Minister plans to visit the US soon

Speaking at a meeting with factory workers and employees in Takhmao town, Kandal province on September 1, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet shared his plans to visit the US.

Prime Minister Hun Manet did not reveal details, only saying that he would go to the US and meet the Cambodian community there.

“I will go to the United States on September 20 and meet our people there,” he affirmed.

Some sources revealed that the head of the Cambodian government will attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.

During the United Nations General Assembly session from September 18-26, world leaders, including young leaders, will discuss solutions to respond to the global crisis and find strategies to accelerate action under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Prime Minister Hun Manet's trip to New York and address to the United Nations General Assembly will reinforce the legitimacy of the new government and the CPP's landslide victory in Cambodia's July parliamentary elections, according to the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP).
