On the evening of August 26, at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the rehearsal of the opening ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th National Day.

Also attending were Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh - Head of the Steering Committee for the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th National Day; Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and leaders of central ministries and branches.
On the side of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, there were Minister Nguyen Van Hung - Head of the Organizing Committee of the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th National Day; Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh; Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Exhibition and leaders of a number of related units.
Reporting at the rehearsal, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that after more than a month of active preparation, under the direction of the Prime Minister, the sectors, levels and related units have made efforts to carry out the assigned tasks. Up to now, the preparation work for the National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th National Day has been basically completed and ready for the Exhibition Opening Ceremony.

Regarding the opening ceremony, Minister Nguyen Van Hung said that it is expected that the opening ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m. and end before 11:00 a.m. on August 28.
The art program of the Opening Ceremony is expected to last about 50 minutes. After the art program, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee will have a report summarizing the results of the implementation of work related to the Exhibition and an overall introduction to the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th National Day.
After that, the Prime Minister will give a speech. Following that, the delegates will perform the button-pressing ceremony to officially open the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th National Day. At the end of the ceremony, the Party and State leaders and delegates will visit the Exhibition space.

After watching the rehearsal of the Art Program to open the Exhibition and listening to the comments, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition must truly be a spiritual festival, a musical party expressing a joyful, strong, energetic atmosphere, expressing the spirit of the country, the spirit of the journey of 80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness.
The art program must ensure the required structure. There must be both classical music and profound symphonies that demonstrate a high level of music appreciation, as well as modern, vibrant, joyful, and powerful music, as well as warm and smooth ethnic and folk music.
"We are very proud of today's generation of artists, who have continued the glorious tradition of the previous generation, while also creating many new creations. Therefore, we believe that the artists will perform well," the Prime Minister said.
For the illustrations on stage in the art program, the Prime Minister requested the use of vivid images, depicting the majestic natural scenery, the rich culture and the most unique features of the country after 80 years of development.
"That is a typical image of a rich and beautiful country, heroic Vietnamese people with a culture rich in identity, glorious historical traditions... interweaving images with music to create an impressive resonance effect," the Prime Minister requested.
The Prime Minister also requested to arrange the space for the Opening Ceremony reasonably, both the space inside the hall and the space outside to create an atmosphere for the Opening Ceremony and for everyone to participate.
