Vanbest Van Don Sa Sung Fish Sauce brand of Newstar LLC is recognized as a 4-star OCOP product, no longer unfamiliar to consumers both inside and outside Quang Ninh province. Up to now, on average, the company produces about 40,000 liters of fish sauce each year. To achieve that result, the company always invests in modern equipment and improves product packaging. In particular, to reach customers outside the province, the company has built sales channels through social networks such as Facebook, Zalo and e-commerce trading floors to promote products. According to Ms. Cao Hong Van, Chairman of Newstar LLC, after participating in training courses and learning about digital transformation organized by the locality, the unit found that putting products on trading floors and social networks is easy and effective. The company's products have reached customers in provinces such as Hanoi , Bac Giang, Hung Yen... and sales year after year are always higher than the previous year.
Not only Newstar LLC, in recent times, many agricultural products and specialties of Van Don district such as: oyster floss, shrimp paste, squid sausage, fish sauce... have been promoted and distributed on many online channels such as websites, e-commerce platforms Shopee, Lazada, Tiktok... Product prices are clearly listed, information on origin is easy to look up, creating trust for consumers. According to Ms. Dang Thi Thu Hong, Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Van Don district, the district currently has 53 OCOP products, of which 41 products have achieved 3 stars, 11 products have achieved 4 stars and 1 product has achieved 5 stars. Local functional units and branches have proactively implemented many solutions to support sellers in creating attractive content, connecting effectively with customers, enhancing the value and competitiveness of local agricultural products. Companies and small and medium-sized business owners in the district also sell products live on the district's fanpages.

Similarly, grasping the consumption trends of the people, from 2022 to now, in addition to the stable consumption market of clean store chains, supermarket systems in and outside the province, coal industry kitchens and industrial parks, Dong Tien Livestock and Service Cooperative (Tien Yen district) has promoted connections, promoted the development of e-commerce to bring Dong Rui sea duck eggs to a large number of consumers nationwide. After applying sales technology through online platforms, the sales output of this product has increased significantly, from 12,000 to 15,000 eggs per day. The manufacturer added that participating in e-commerce platforms and social networks not only helps increase the number of orders but also facilitates transactions and payments.
To date, 100% of the province’s OCOP products have been put on major e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Tiki and other online platforms, with the goal of connecting the province’s signature products to consumers nationwide and internationally. In total, 560 OCOP products of Quang Ninh have participated in e-commerce platforms, of which 393 products have met 3-5 star standards.
This digital transformation process not only helps to promote products widely, but also improves the quality of management and transactions. In particular, the Department of Industry and Trade has closely coordinated with relevant agencies to guide and support business households, cooperatives and enterprises in building websites, Facebook, emails, and participating in online sales platforms. Thanks to that, most OCOP entities in the province have their own online sales channels, expanding the scope of product consumption, increasing the ability to reach potential customers.

It can be said that promoting product consumption on social networking platforms and e-commerce platforms has helped the province's OCOP products reach consumers nationwide faster. This is the foundation, creating sustainable steps for local OCOP products in the market. In particular, the subjects have proactively applied technology in the production and processing stages, as well as applied the QR Code traceability system so that consumers can use it with peace of mind. Digital transformation has helped the agricultural sector in general and the subjects in particular to promote more widely, increase sales, expand consumption channels, thereby bringing local products to the world market.
