Leveraging the energy of youth in the self-reliance and entrepreneurship movement, in recent years, youth union members in the province have implemented many highly effective economic models. This has not only helped young people become wealthy in their own homeland but also promoted the socio-economic development of the locality.

Promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship and business development. Thanh Phat Macadamia Cooperative, Van Hoa village, Cat Van commune, is harvesting products from macadamia trees.

In the final days of the year, we visited the orchard of Mr. Hoang Huu Quyet's family in Thanh Xa 2 sub-district, Ha Linh town (Ha Trung district), just as his family was harvesting Dien pomelos. Mr. Quyet said: "Recognizing the high efficiency of combining fruit tree cultivation with livestock farming, my family has been cultivating 8 hectares of land for many years to grow fruit trees such as oranges, Dien pomelos, jackfruit, apples, etc., and raising pigs and chickens. During the development of this economic model, I consulted books, newspapers, and social media for guidance on planting and caring for trees, and participated in training courses organized by the Ha Trung District Youth Union; I also visited successful farm models inside and outside the province. In addition, I installed a drip irrigation system using Israeli technology, which helps the trees absorb nutrients from fertilizers effectively, delivering water directly to the roots and avoiding water waste during production. As a result, the crops yield higher productivity and better quality, and the harvested fruits are purchased directly from the orchard by traders. It is estimated that this model generates approximately 1 billion VND in revenue annually."

The Thanh Phat Macadamia Cooperative in Van Hoa village, Cat Van commune (Nhu Xuan district), headed by Deputy Director Pham Thi Thu, is currently operating quite effectively. Ms. Thu stated: "After researching, I realized that macadamia trees are easy to grow, suitable for the soil and climate, and require minimal investment and care. Therefore, I discussed it with my family and decided to rent land to plant macadamia trees. In 2014, I imported seedlings for trial planting. After some time, seeing that the macadamia trees grew and developed well, I began expanding the area and established the Thanh Phat Macadamia Cooperative. To date, the cooperative has attracted 18 members and expanded the macadamia cultivation area to 51 hectares."

To promote its products to a wider customer base, Thanh Phat Cooperative has actively posted product information on social media platforms such as Zalo and Facebook, and participated in markets and trade fairs both within and outside the province. In 2023, Thanh Phat Macadamia products achieved OCOP 3-star certification, which helped customers become aware of and trust their products.

Over the years, to help young people in the district develop economically and become wealthy in their homeland, the Nhu Xuan District Youth Union has accompanied young people in starting and establishing businesses. In 2024, the District Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Youth Career Guidance, Vocational Training and Job Placement Center to organize a career orientation, job placement and recruitment program for 1,000 students from Nhu Xuan Secondary and High Schools; more than 300 young people participated in career orientation and job placement activities organized by the Nhu Xuan District People's Committee. In addition, the work of reviewing the need for loans for economic development and entrepreneurship among cadres and young people has been given attention and guidance. In 2024, the Nhu Xuan District Youth Union, in coordination with the District Social Policy Bank, disbursed loans totaling over 400 million VND to 5 young people from the provincial-level startup capital fund. They also effectively managed entrusted loan capital from the Social Policy Bank with a total outstanding balance of over 79.907 billion VND, an increase of nearly 1.5 billion VND compared to 2023. As a result, many effective economic models run by young people have emerged in the district.

In recent times, the province has seen an increasing number of effective economic development models led by young people. Notable examples include: Mr. Duong Ngoc Truong, General Director of Befine Joint Stock Company (Thach Thanh); Mr. Le Minh Cuong, Director of Spico Co., Ltd., Ham Rong Ward ( Thanh Hoa City); Ms. Nguyen Le Ngoc Linh, Director of Tho Village Forestry Cooperative, Hoa Quy Commune (Nhu Xuan District)...

To promote entrepreneurship among young people, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union has strengthened support and connections with agencies and units to implement support policies and create conditions for young people to develop economic models suitable to local conditions; organized training courses on digital transformation; and held entrepreneurship counseling days for young people. In addition, the Provincial Youth Union has directed grassroots youth unions at all levels to implement the "One Commune, One Product" (OCOP) program; encouraged young people in the province to compete in proposing initiatives, technical improvements, applying scientific and technological advancements and new technological processes to production, creating many new products with quality and economic efficiency. It has also guided, supported, and assisted young people in accessing loan capital to develop their businesses, contributing to sustainable wealth creation...
