According to the TASS news agency, on the occasion of Africa Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent official congratulatory messages to the leaders of countries on the continent on May 24.

In a congratulatory message published on the Kremlin's official website, President Vladimir Putin sent his best wishes to African nations. He emphasized that Africa Day is "a symbol of the victory of the peoples of the continent over colonialism." The holiday also represents aspirations for freedom, peace, and prosperity.

The Russian leader expressed strong confidence in the third Russia-Africa Summit, scheduled to be held in Moscow next October. This forum will contribute to outlining new prospects for developing mutually beneficial cooperation with African partners in various fields.

"I would be delighted to welcome African leaders to Moscow. I sincerely wish you good health and much success in governing your countries. May your citizens always live in peace and prosperity," President Putin shared.
