In the final match on the evening of May 7th, Nguyen Thuy Linh faced the experienced senior Vu Thi Trang in what was considered the highlight of the tournament.

Despite a rocky start and losing the first set 14-21, the player from Dong Nai showed the resilience of the number one female badminton player in Vietnam.
In the second set, Thùy Linh played more proactively with consistent shots and sharp counter-attacks. She continuously put pressure on Vũ Thị Trang, making it difficult for her to execute her game plan, and won 21-15 to level the score at 1-1.
The deciding set was exciting, with both players fiercely chasing each other in the early points. However, from the moment she took an 11-9 lead, Thùy Linh began to accelerate strongly. Her powerful smashes and superior physical fitness helped the 1997-born player gradually create a gap between herself and her senior opponent.
Thuy Linh sealed the victory with a score of 21-13 after Vu Thi Trang hit the shuttle out of bounds, thus completing an impressive comeback to claim the championship title.

This title further demonstrates Thùy Linh's consistency and superior class in domestic competitions. For many years, the player from Đồng Nai has had virtually no real rivals in domestic tournaments, consistently maintaining high performance and impressive competitive spirit.
In the men's singles event, Le Duc Phat also had an emotional victory after defeating the rising star Nguyen Thien Loc with a score of 2-1 (21-14, 19-21, 21-18).
The 2026 National Badminton Club Championship took place from May 4th to 10th, bringing together over 300 athletes and coaches from 30 provinces, cities, and sectors nationwide, competing in various age groups and events.
