Tien Giang: Workers enthusiastically return to work after Tet holiday.

Following the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Dragon 2024, on February 15th (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), many businesses in Tien Giang province resumed operations with a cheerful atmosphere, carrying with them hopes for a prosperous new year.

Freeview Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Huong Industrial Park, Chau Thanh District) is a foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprise with 100% Taiwanese investment, operating in the field of manufacturing leather shoes for export, creating jobs for 21,000 workers. On February 15th, the company resumed production and business operations.

Returning to work after the long Tet holiday, the company's staff and workers enthusiastically started working to prepare for the first orders after the holiday. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong (a worker at Freeview Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd.) said that after celebrating Tet, everyone was excited, especially receiving lucky money from the management. Mr. Phuong hopes that in 2024, the company will have many orders, continue to grow, and build strong trust from partners and customers.

At the beginning of the new year, the company also facilitated a few extra days off for workers from other provinces. From February 19th onwards, all workers will return to work. Mr. Le Vo Huu Hanh, Chairman of the Trade Union of Freeview Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that the company has a total of 20,999 workers. On the first day of the new year, 19,357 workers returned to work, while 1,642 workers were absent because they were still on annual leave and requested extra days off on Friday and Saturday. After the Tet holiday, the workers enthusiastically returned to work.

In the first working days of 2024, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (LĐLĐ) organized two working groups to visit the LĐLĐ of districts, cities, and towns, as well as industry-specific trade unions, to assess the situation after the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024, especially regarding the activities of businesses and the return of workers to work. According to the Provincial LĐLĐ, the province has more than 97,800 workers employed in 326 businesses with grassroots trade unions affiliated with district-level LĐLĐ and industry-specific trade unions.

According to reports from various units, as of February 16th (the 7th day of the first lunar month), 75,596 out of 79,923 workers from 214 enterprises (94.58%) had returned to work; the remaining workers were not yet back due to leave, sick leave, etc. The remaining enterprises (with over 17,900 workers) resumed operations on February 17th and 19th (the 8th and 10th days of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon).

CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company (My Tho Industrial Park, My Tho City) also resumed operations on the 6th day of the Lunar New Year. According to the company's labor union, 100% of employees returned to work. Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, Chairwoman of the labor union at CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, said that workers were excited to return to work after the holiday. They focused on work right from the beginning of the year, resulting in increased work efficiency. Workers hope for further development and more orders in the new year.

Mr. Pham Van Phong (a worker at CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company) shared that he was very happy to return to work after the Tet holiday. The company and the local trade union have many benefits and take very good care of employees, creating a stable income for them, so he is very happy and wants to continue working for the company.

Meanwhile, Quang Viet Tien Giang Co., Ltd. (Tan Huong Industrial Park) also resumed work on February 16th. The company has a total of 4,951 workers; on the first day back after the Tet holiday, 4,902 workers returned to work. According to a company representative, the extended Tet holiday has energized everyone to start work in the new year, promising to meet the factory's production needs effectively.

From February 15th, businesses gradually resumed production and operations. Work returned to its usual busy pace, and everyone looked forward to a new year 2024 filled with joy and new successes.
